Universal Remotes
For controlling various electronic devices through electronic a universal remotes are used. There are three types of universal remotes; they are low end universal remotes, mid end universal remotes and high end universal remotes. Using the low end universal remotes only a set of electronic devices can be controlled which is determined by the manufacturer. Whereas the mid end universal remotes and high end universal remotes can be programmed for new controls to the remote. Today the remotes sold with the electronic devices are universal remotes, which are capable of controlling other devices which are beyond the device with which it was sold.
The programming of the universal remotes can performed by the technical people because it a complex procedure. A universal remote most commonly consist of a power button and for selecting the device which the remote controls there are series of buttons such as TV, DVD, VCR, home theater or audio equipment. There are high end remotes available with many advanced features.
