I have a standard home theater receiver and would like to connect a wireless microphone to it so I can use the receiver and speakers instead of using a dedicated PA system or bullhorn.
You would need a Mic preamp or consider a little Behringer mixer if you want to keep costs low. You can take your MIC in and have a line level output that you can connect to say the TAPE or CD input on you surround receiver. Hopefully you have a decent wireless MIC and not a cheesy one that has 1/4″ outputs.
use a mixer like the one posted above, but add any standard UHF mic and receiver. you will need a XLr cable and a set of good audio cables to patch to the receiver.
