magemaster asked:
My TV has no audio output, only my VCR, i am thinking about buying a ?Home theater system for my room but I do not know if it will work. My VCR is hooked up to my TV via Cable line. Will that work if i plug my HTS to my VCR Output? (fyi if you were wondering why dont i have a DVD player, well i am using my Xbox) Also would it be more expensive to buy a HTS or just buy a Reciever and get some of my old speakers out of my closet and if they dont work get new ones?
I think you can but I would go to where you are going to buy it and ask the sales people . . they should know!
You would have to plug the VCR and Xbox audios out into your receiver. To get sound from cable through your receiver you would have to tune your TV to the channel you use to watch your VCR, tune your VCR to the channel you want to watch, and change your receiver to your VCR.
I would just buy a new receiver and use the old speakers. When buying the receiver make sure it has the right number of watts for your speakers.
You would not be able to use the coaxial(screw on connector) out of your VCR.
You will have to use the red white and yellow out of ur vcr.
